Impressive!

We've recently launched our alpha platform here in Australia to stream closed captions to the web to allow hard of hearing people the opportunity to objectively review the quality of captions delivered by commercial and government stations.

We have been watching today, on and off. It's a good step forward, and most interesting to note that a live CART provider (real time captioner, a human being) is providing the captioning not google automatic systems, though not entirely clear yet if it's possibly both).

Hoping others follow this lead, and offer much more online with real time quality captioning. To advocate with the CCAC, please join - individuals and groups also - free membership - all volunteers. We've a long way to go for inclusion of all and for our "ramp" for equal communication access. Since it also serves business search online (quality captioning), perhaps there will be more attention to this soon.
