Closed Captioning

Don’t panic.
2006 is the first year that the FCC is requiring 100% of all new nonexempt English-language programming longer than 10 minutes to be closed captioned, and many program producers are scrambling to find a provider that they trust to help meet the regulations.
CMP has been providing closed captioning services since 1999 and we’d be happy to consult with you about the process.
We charge by the finished minute with a 15-minute minimum.
Here’s a link
to the FCC’s guidelines for broadcasters. Essentially, almost all programming longer than 10 minutes must be closed captioned, and the FCC holds the stations or cable operators responsible for compliance.
Give us a call at 405-842-3343 and we’ll be happy to speak with you about the nitty gritty on this issue. We generally require a 3 to 5 day turn-around, but we can work with your show while it is in-progress if your production schedules are tight.
