David and I were back at the OKC FCPUG on Tuesday with another demo of the RED ONE. A few people had been to our February event, but most of the crowd was seeing and touching the camera for the first time. We handed out some coffee mug swag, and I even won one of the door prizes! Thursday, David and Jordan shot interviews with the five finalists for Tate Music Group’s Artist of the Year competition. Then Micah, Evan and David cut 2 minute artist profiles to be rolled into the live show. Friday, Don and Mark setup the 3-camera shoot while the finishing touches were happening with the profile videos. All our efforts culminated in a 90-minute live show streamed to over 800 viewers on the internet and to the live audience, complete with jib shots, roll-ins, etc.
Grand prize was $15,000 and a music video, which we’ll shoot sometime in Q2, and was awarded to Chandler, a great band out of Georgia. Congrats, guys!
