Don cuts HD for ESPN

ESPN Lanyard

Don recently returned from a 3-race stint for ESPN that had him in NYC, LA, and New Jersey for the last three big horse races of the year, culminating in 7 hours on ESPN for the Breeders’ Cup October 27.

The coverage was shot in 720P on Panasonic gear, and there were 3 Avid suites and a linear bay cranking out promos, features, and recaps. In fact, if you saw any race coverage on SportsCenter

that day, it was probably edited by Don during the race and then fed to Bristol after the live coverage on Saturday.

Unlike our previous ESPN work, these races were not through a middle-man – Don was working directly for Mickey Mouse himself! (As you probably know, Disney owns ABC and ESPN… you should have seen the 10-page application and the FBI background check!)
