Lights, Camera, Apple: NAB 2007 special event announced

Wednesday, March 14th, 2007

Well, Apple has finally created the signup page for their 2007 NAB party. While its 11AM start time preceeds the CMP crew’s arrival by 5 or 6 hours, I’m sure we’ll soon ALL know what Apple has up its sleeve. FCP 6? Possibly. 8-core Macs? Perhaps.

If you’re going to NAB this year and will be there early enough, please comment so we’ll know who to bug about what happened while waiting in the airport to head to Vegas! zithromax ear infections

LifeChurch in Second Life

One of Don’s former students Casey Davis tells us about LifeChurch‘s new virtual church in the online “game” called Second Life. Casey works in the graphics department of this 12-or-so campus mega church which already has a strong internet presence and even a great free resources page where other churches can freely download and use motion graphics, video clips, animations, etc. in their own services.

Of course, Casey’s not our only connection to LifeChurch – Don’s brother-in-law David Brown is one of the pastors on the Edmond campus.

The Second Life campus is an attempt to reach another segment of the population with the good news of Jesus Christ – check it out here or read more here.

Resources

If you haven’t checked out our In-House Resources page yet, please take a moment to take a look. This is an up-to-date listing of the many tools & resources we have to offer our clients, many with no extra charge!

Over the last month, we’ve greatly expanded the amount of video “clip art” animations in our collection, much of which comes from our friends at Digital Juice

. We have links to thumbnails and web movies so you can get an idea what the elements look like, and they are all very customizable, too. And the best part is: we provide these as a service to our clients at no extra charge.

But wait – there’s more!

Last year, we added a great new high-definition video camera with a ton of accessories. If you’d like to see it in action, please call David for a demo at 405-842-EDGE (3343).

We’re always investing in new “toys” to better serve our clients, so if there’s a piece of gear you’d like to use on your next production, don’t hesitate to let us know about it. You never know – you might be the justification to our wives for getting some more fun stuff!

As the picture above shows, you can always see the current page by clicking the link on the right frame. (IE users may have to scroll to the bottom of the page.) Thanks for looking!
